Profitec Pro 300: Replacing the Safety ValveUpdated 5 months ago
Tools Needed:
- 15mm crescent wrench
OR
- 15mm deep socket and socket wrench
- Scotch-Brite pad
- Replacement 1/4" Safety Valve
NOTE: The machine should be unplugged and cool to the touch before you begin.
1) First, you will need to remove the top panel and then identify the safety valve (in the center with a ring).
2) Using the 15mm crescent wrench, unscrew the safety valve from the top of the boiler by turning counterclockwise. If you will be using the 15mm deep socket, you will need to first remove the ring on the safety valve. If you need more room to work with, we recommend unplugging the wires and carefully removing the safety switches.
3) Clean any debris from the original thread sealant off of the boiler.
4) Wrap the threads on the new safety valve in PTFE tape.
6. Install the new safety valve into the top of the boiler. Leave the panels off for testing.
