LUCCA X58: Temperature Probe CleaningUpdated 5 months ago
Before testing, please unplug your machine and allow it to completely cool and depressurize.
Then you will remove the panels of your machine.
Tools needed:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- 17mm wrench
- Scotch-Brite scouring pad
- Cafiza cleaning solution
- Teflon tape
1. In order to gain more access to the space, you can use an adjustable wrench to turn the elbow fitting on the boiler to the left.
(Don't forget to tighten after you have finished reinstalling your temp probe)
2. Using a 17mm crescent wrench, loosen the temperature probe by twisting to the left.
3. Remove the temperature probe and inspect for buildup or scale.
4. Clean the probe (We recommend using Scotch-Brite scouring pads and Cafiza) and wrap with teflon tape to create a tighter seal.
5. Pre-twist the wire to the left.
6. Reinstall the temperature probe by twisting to the right. Test your machine before repaneling.
