LUCCA X58: How to Replace the PIDUpdated 5 months ago
Tools needed:
- Philips head screwdriver
- small flat head screwdriver
2. Locate the PID - (same side as the steam wand)
3. Remove the screws that hold the PID to the frame:
4. Take a photo - or use this photo for reference - to know where the electrical connections go on the back of the new PID. Unplug the electrical connections on the back of the old PID and remove:
**The gray/green/brown wire just disconnects from the back of the shot timer:
**Use a small flat head screw driver to remove the electrical pins (remember what order they go in.)**
5. Take the new PID, reinstall the electrical connections (using photo in step #4 for reference) and line the new PID with the holes on the side of the machine.
Pro tip: Only partially screw in the PID - make sure the PID looks straight from the front - then with one hand holding the PID in place, secure the screws into place.
6. Leave the panels off and turn on the machine to test!
