Tools Needed:

• Phillips screwdriver
• Compressed air/keyboard cleaner/vacuum
• Small brush/implement to loosen up stubborn grounds

1. The recommended first step with a jam on any grinder is to go a rotation on the adjustment knob towards coarse and try and run the grinder. This oftentimes will allow the grinder to push through the jam and resume normal function. If that does not solve the issue and the grinder is still jammed, continue on to the next steps to open up the burr chamber and clean it out.

2. Unplug the grinder and remove any beans from the hopper/grinder throat that you can grab.

3. Remove the hopper set screw.

4. Remove the black plastic collar.

5. Remove the 3 large screws holding the top burr in place. They will be snug, so be careful not to strip the screw heads.

6. Break up any stuck-on grounds inside the grinder using your brush/small implement, and ensure the chute is cleared as well.

7. A vacuum makes quick work of loose grounds, however, if that isn't available the grinders can be carefully turned upside down or blown out with compressed air/keyboard cleaner (this can be messy - be careful!). Then simply reinstall the top burr nice and snug and put the plastic collar back on.
