Carefully cut the tape along the top of the box, and unfold the flaps.</p><p>Lift up the cardboard hopper carrier, remove the hopper from its plastic bag, and set it and its lid somewhere safe.</p><p>Lift the foam section on top of the grinder and set it aside. Carefully lift the grinder straight up out of the box, and set it upright. Remove the protective plastic film from around the grinder, and use scissors to remove the zip tie from the coiled power cable.</p><p><strong>We recommend saving all packaging to facilitate easier returns and repairs.</strong></p><p>Place the grinder on a sturdy, level surface, insert the hopper with the gate slide to the left, and plug in your grinder.</p><h3 id="setup">Setup</h3><p>Your LUCCA Atom 75 is ready to use straight out of the box. The touchscreen displays information and lets you navigate between pages and adjust settings and preferences. The start switch is positioned below the grounds chute to start or stop grinding using a portafilter. Turning the grind adjustment knob changes the distance between the grinding burrs, and therefore how coarse or fine the coffee grounds will be.</p><p><img alt="LUCCA-Atom-75-with-callouts" class="hs-image-align-none fr-fic fr-dii" src="https://f.hubspotusercontent00.net/hubfs/4309359/LUCCA-Atom-75-with-callouts.png" style="width: 688px;" width="688"></p><p>The grind adjustment system contains a sensor that actively tracks the distance between the burrs. This distance is displayed as the grind setting number at the top of the touchscreen. It is factory calibrated so that a change of one grind setting on the LUCCA Atom corresponds to a change of 0.005mm distance between the burrs.</p><p>The LUCCA Atom 75 can operate in one of three modes: Continuous mode, timed mode, and TrueGrind mode. Continuous and timed modes allow a simple, manual workflow preferred by some experienced baristas. You can switch between modes by navigating to the Select (list icon) page.</p><p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">To grind in continuous mode, press and hold the start switch, or tap and hold the cup icon in the center of the touchscreen. The motor will run while the switch or icon is held, and the grind time will count up from zero.</span></p><p>To grind in timed mode, tap the start switch or the cup icon. This will start the motor and begin counting down from the set grind time. Grinding will stop when the timer reaches zero, or the user taps the start switch or cup icon again. This app is not compatible with the LUCCA Atom 75.</p><p><br></p></div><h2 id="get-connected">Get Connected</h2><p>Your LUCCA Atom 75 requires a strong and stable internet connection to sync coffees, get grind setting predictions, update recipes, download firmware updates, and use the Dial In Assistant.</p><p>Make sure you have good WiFi coverage where your grinder is installed, and keep in mind that, like most other IoT and smart appliances, the LUCCA Atom 75 can only connect to a 2.4 GHz network.</p><p>Your grinder&apos;s WiFi connection status is always displayed in the upper left hand corner of the home screen, and you can change the WiFi network your grinder&apos;s connected to by navigating to <strong>Settings (the gear-shaped icon) &#xA0;&gt; WiFi</strong>.</p><p><br></p><h2 id="check-your-firmware">Check Your Firmware</h2><p>Firmware is what we call the program that&apos;s always running on the small computer inside your LUCCA Atom 75. Our developers here at LUCCA periodically publish updates to that firmware to fix bugs, provide new features, or otherwise ensure continuity of service.</p><p>To ensure your grinder can connect to the internet and the cloud services it needs to sync with your account, you&apos;ll want to always make sure your firmware is up to date.</p><p>In most cases, if your grinder has a good internet connection, it will automatically detect if a firmware update is available when you turn it on, and notify you of that. For instance, if you created your account with the email/password method, you&apos;ll need to log in using your email address and password, and not either of the other two methods.</p><p>If you try to log into an email/password-based account using Google or Apple login, you&apos;ll just end up creating a new account, and you won&apos;t find any of your saved coffee recipes, or be able to sync anything with your grinder without deregistering and re-registering it to the new account.</p><p><br></p><h3 style="text-align: center;" id="pro-tip"><strong>Pro T</strong><strong>ip</strong></h3><div class="hs-callout-type-tip" data-hs-callout-type="tip"><p style="margin-left: 20px;"><em>If you used email/password to create your account, you must login using email/password, even if your email address is a gmail or iCloud address.</em></p><p style="margin-left: 20px;"><br></p></div><h2 id="deregister-your-grinder">(De)Register Your Grinder</h2><p>In order for your LUCCA Atom 75 to get AI-generated grind predictions, use the Dial In Assistant, and sync with your <strong>TrueGrind AI</strong> account, you&apos;ll need to make sure your grinder&apos;s unique <strong>Grinder ID</strong> is registered to your account.</p><p>You can register a grinder to your account by navigating to the&#xA0;<strong>Settings</strong> page of&#xA0;the <strong>TrueGrind</strong> <strong>AI</strong> mobile app, selecting your grinder, and entering its unique <strong>Grinder ID</strong>, which can be found by navigating in the grinder&apos;s touchscreen to <strong>Settings &gt; About</strong>.</p><p>Likewise, you can deregister a grinder that&apos;s currently linked to your account in one of two ways:</p><ol><li>&#xA0;In the <strong>TrueGrind AI&#xA0;</strong> mobile app, navigate to&#xA0;<strong>Settings</strong> and tap&#xA0;<strong>Deregister Grinder.</strong></li><li>On the LUCCA Atom 75 touchscreen, navigate to <strong>Settings &gt; About &gt; Reset All Settings.</strong><ol><li>This will not only deregister this grinder from any account it is registered to, it will also reset the grinder to its factory settings, erasing all locally stored data, including your WiFi network name and password.
