ECM Mechanika V Slim: Testing the Boiler ElementUpdated 6 months ago
What you'll need:
- 3mm Allen Key
- Multimeter
By tipping your Mechanika onto its back, you'll find the boiler access panel underneath.
Using the 3mm allen key, remove the four screws fastening the panel in place.
Once removed, you'll find the element legs and their leads attached. Removing these wires will give you the best chance at a clear reading.
Placing one probe on each leg, turn your multimeter to the resistance setting (as designated by the Ω). The holes in the element legs give the probes a great spot to rest steady.
Your element's resistance should read close to 10 ohms. If too high or too low, or registering no resistance at all, this can indicate failure and you may want to replace that element.
If you need to purchase a new element, you can find that here. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
