Alex Duetto: Replacing the Brew GaugeUpdated 6 months ago

You will want to turn the machine off, allow it to cool, and if it's plumbed in, shut off the water line before beginning this procedure.

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • 12mm wrench
  • 14mm wrench

1. Remove the top panel of your machine by taking out the 4 phillips screws holding it in place. The spots they are located are pointed out in the photo below, along with the location of the fitting where the brew gauge is connected.

3. The bracket will have a slot where the capillary tube will be able to pass through.

4. Remove the gauge by pulling the tube through the front of the machine. Install the new gauge and ensure that it's straight in the housing. Line up the bracket with the back as shown in the picture and tighten down the lock nut, and then reattach the 12mm nut to the fitting at the end of the capillary tube.
