Alex Duetto: PID ReplacementUpdated 5 months ago
Tools Needed:
- #1 Phillips screwdriver
- Small flat-head screwdriver
1. Remove the panels from the machine.
2. Identify the PID and take note of the electrical connections.
3. Use the small flat-head screwdriver to loosen the SSR lead retaining screws just enough to disconnect the SSR leads.
4. Unplug the shot timer lead connector; it may be helpful to use the small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry at the retaining clip as you pull the wires.
5. Remove the PID housing mounting screws.
6. Slide the PID housing back far enough to access and unplug the color-coded temperature sensor leads.
7. You can now pull the PID out through the front of the machine. Use these directions in reverse to install the new PID.
